My name is Erik Walter Thompson and I'm the owner/operator of Walter Audio Services. I was born and raised in the Wild Wild West™ (Chino Valley, AZ to be precise) but have lived in Nashville, TN since 2008.
I'm an audio expert and I have experience in nearly every aspect of professional audio. However, these days I tend to focus largely on post production. I began my career in the studio, making records for independent labels and artists with a heavy focus on analog recording. I eventually shifted focus to long-form narrative post production, where I worked on hundreds of titles with "A-list" celebrities & authors.
I have experience in all aspects of post production but these days my focus is aimed more sharply at sound design. & Audio Storytelling.
I love analog hardware and analog tape, but I'm also very well-versed in all things digital and find value in both formats. I build, repair, and mod analog hardware and have built most of the gear that I use in my studio.
My hobbies include gardening, woodworking, & spending as much time as possible with my family.
